Janice Yang

As the Research & Resources Intern at ICGS, Janice seeks to contribute to projects that advance equity in girls’ education and provide educators with resources that foster the ideal learning environment for girls. She graduated from University College London with a B.A in History, where she specialised in philosophical and political history, and she is now pursuing her MSc in Political Theory at the London School of Economics. Throughout her academic career, Janice has focused her research on ideas of freedom, equality, and justice in modern society. Having attended all-girls school Branksome Hall, she is deeply passionate about the transformative power of girls’ education and the importance of empowering young women to lead. In addition to her academic work, Janice has also helped organise international conferences and panels on political theory and social change, and has been active in many volunteering and advocacy initiatives. She brings to ICGS a strong research background, an interdisciplinary perspective, and a passion for applying theoretical insights to real-world challenges. Through her work with ICGS, Janice aims to support the organisation’s mission to advance girls’ education and leadership worldwide.
