Alison delivers clear business impact, with a human touch and personable approach.”

Dr Alison Edgar MBE is not your average speaker; she’s a dynamic yet relatable catalyst for business success. With her captivating presence, Scottish wit and personality, combined with her 25-year experience walking the corridors of corporate organisations, Alison empowers au

diences to embrace change, enhance communication, and boost results. Her talks provide real-life implementable takeaways that make an immediate impact, proving her an invaluable addition to any event.

Alison was one of the few women to be recognised with an MBE on the Queen’s Birthday Honours list in 2020 for her services to entrepreneurship and business, and she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Education in 2024. With over a decade of experience as a business champion, she has mentored top industry figures. Alison has also played a pivotal role in advising the government on business legislation, contributing

to the growth of the UK economy.

As a dyslexic author of two international best-selling books, Alison has mastered the balance of how to enhance readers’ personal and professional development. Her debut book was a WHSmith Top Ten Business Book and named one of the top business books written by a woman in 2019 by The Independent newspaper.

Alison is a sought-after media contributor, and recently became a boardroom advisor for a new business TV show, ‘Ready Set StartUP’ on Amazon Prime UK & US.

Described as ‘Tinkerbell crossed with the Terminator,’ Katy was a finalist in the BBC Series Special Forces: Ultimate Hell Week in 2017. This experience inspired

her to join the Army Reserves, where she trained as a Combat Medic and deployed to Armenia, Georgia, Afghanistan, Norway, and Pakistan.

Her time on the show sparked a desire to further test her physical and mental limits, leading her into the world of ultra running. In 2018, she finished as the 3rd femal

e in her first 100km race. Katy is now a Montane Athlete, supported in endurance events and mountain expeditions globally.

In late 2020, Katy faced a major challenge when an accident required her to undergo major knee reconstructive surgery. Despite a tumultuous year of rehab, she made a remarkable comeback, competing in the Montane Lapland Arctic Ultra (185 km) just 15 months post-surgery, finishing 4th overall and 2ndfemale. Refusing to let her injury define her, she has also fast-packed mountain ranges, run the length of Devon, and completed an Ironman in memory of a teammate she lost while climbing Broad Peak in 2022.

Katy is passionate about self-leadership, a growth mindset, and breaking stereotypes. By sharing her stories of endurance, overcoming setbacks, and tackling challenges with a ‘can-do’ attitude, she hopes to inspire others to approach their own goals with positivity and self-belief.
