Overview: Together we will create a safe space of sharing with the gurtha/fire. Through the practice of deep listening, and through dissolving barriers and fears through vulnerability and truth the group will share their challenges and concerns. Unpacking themes around Country, Culture, Divide, Racism, Balance, Reconciliation, Shame, Guilt, Love, Gratitude and the list goes on. When we have time and space to deep dive together in common-unity much can be released and transformed through the fire as a living prayer for our future younger generation.
Butjrinaning, a plant found on Yolŋu Country is prepared by the women, and used on both men and women to physically, emotionally and spiritually heal. The leaves are prepared on the fire in boiling water, the medicine is then massaged onto the individual where they choose. Women are intuitively healers, and this is a beautiful opportunity to practice receiving and giving.
