Girls as Healthy Members of High-Achieving Communities – Australasian Headways Cohort Meeting
October 22, 2024 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am AEST
Community
The wellbeing of students is optimised when the adults in a school community are providing a safe, containing, trustworthy environment, in which young people are able to grow and thrive with confidence. What do we need to consider to ensure that the school community is functioning effectively together, to promote the mental health of students?
This session will consider:
- Strategies for ensuring that a school culture provides psychological holding and containment to all members of the community.
- The integration of considerations of diversity, inclusion and equity into our wellbeing approach.
- How we can ensure that staff and families are functioning as effective role models and learning mentors for students.
Headways™ is a networking series presented by ICGS that provides girls’ school leaders, faculty, and staff the chance to discuss opportunities and challenges facing girls’ schools. Open to all member schools, participants meet in small cohorts for one-hour moderated conversations about prearranged, timely topics. The 2024-2025 Headways cohort listing will be published in June.
