Creative Mindset
Director Ava DuVernay once noted, “Don’t wait for permission to do something creative.” This raises the question: how do we as educators help our learners build a creative mindset, one that empowers them to take risks, embrace curiosity, and develop innovative solutions to complex problems? In this workshop participants will engage in a series of hands-on and minds-on activities that help students (and you) model creativity at any age and in any discipline. By the end of the session, participants will walk away with a toolkit of creative ideas to foster a classroom environment where students feel confident embracing ambiguity, expressing their ideas, and tackling challenges creatively.AFTERNOON WORKSHOP
12:30-3:00 p.m.
South Hampstead High School GDST
AI + Design Thinking
This engaging workshop invites educators to explore the powerful intersection of creativity, creative technology, and AI, discovering how AI can be leveraged to inspire innovative thinking and amplify student voices. Through hands-on activities, participants will experiment with AI tools to generate creative content, design innovative projects, and empower students to approach emerging technology as a tool for expression and exploration, rather than a passive resource. You will leave with practical strategies for responsibly integrating AI into the curriculum, fostering a sense of agency in students as they navigate and shape technologies that will define their future.ICGS Member School Heads and Principals are invited to join Headmistress Jo Duncan at Wycombe Abbey for a school visit and discussion on advancing girls’ education, including an exploration of education at Wycombe Abbey.
