2026 ICGS Girls’ School STEM Educators Think Tank – February 5-6, 2026

STEM teachers and thought leaders from K-12 schools, colleges, universities, and industry from around the globe are invited to participate in a thought provoking two-day collaborative summit dedicated to advancing STEM education for girls worldwide. The STEM Think Tank will take place February 5-6, 2026, at Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart in Bethesda, Maryland, USA. Join us for this special opportunity to hear directly from the next generation of STEM innovators in a student panel, engage with peers to discuss pressing challenges in STEM education, exchange proven strategies and innovative approaches that are making a difference in STEM education for girls, and explore local STEM sites in the area.

Together, we will consider exciting opportunities to strengthen STEM education and create practical solutions that can be adapted to enrich diverse learning environments. This Think Tank represents a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between K-12, higher education, industry, and government perspectives.

Overview

On February 5, we will meet at Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart for the opening session, which will include roundtable discussions preassigned based on the participants’ preference. After the morning session, we will enjoy lunch together at Stone Ridge before departing for STEM field trips in the area.

On February 6, the group will once again meet at Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart, where we will join ICGS delegates at the Educating Girls Symposium for breakfast and a keynote presentation. Attendees of the STEM Think Tank will then gather with the below program facilitators for a morning workshop that includes a young alumnae panel.

After lunch in community with Symposium attendees, the group will reconvene for two afternoon sessions before rejoining the Symposium for a light networking reception.

This two-day program is designed for focused, strategic, and generative conversation and networking. Participants are expected to attend both days in full, as the program builds sequentially. Attendance is limited to 30 participants. To accommodate interest, each participating school or organization may register up to two delegates. Please note that participation in this program runs concurrently with other Educating Girls Symposium sessions. Delegates enrolled in this program will not be able to attend separate symposium sessions.
