Facilitator: Djapirri Mununggirritj — a Yolngu Elder from Yirrkala in North East Arnhem Land. For decades, she has worked tirelessly to support her community and to foster strong relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians and non-Indigenous Australians.

School Visits
27 April
11.30 a.m.-12.15 p.m.
Take a tour of Melbourne Girls Grammar to see how the history of this prestigious South Yarra school has unfolded. Commencing at Phelia Grimwade House, you will learn about the earliest principals, Emily Hensley and Alice Taylor, who as a Cambridge educated women, set the course for girls’ education in Melbourne. You will be guided through the evolution of the school, seeing the fusion of traditional and innovative learning spaces including the music atrium and Wildfell, traverse the hallways of Merton Hall and its historic red stairs, and view our Chapel with alumnae funded lead light windows before finishing at our contemporary Fitness and Wellbeing centre, Artemis.

2.30 pm – 4.00 pm
Delegates will undertake a small group, student led tour of the K – 12 campus, of Lowther Hall Anglican Grammar School. As well as classrooms and specialist spaces, the tour will visit the purpose built K – 1 centre, the various below ground teaching spaces and the recently opened Junior School playground. Students will talk about their experiences at Lowther Hall and highlight some of their favourite aspects of the School. Following the tour, there will be the opportunity to hear a series of short presentations from members of the Teaching and Learning Leadership Team about some of the School’s signature programs including: Early Years — Reggio Informed Inquiry Units and Bush Kinder; Primary years: Flexible learning spaces to support differentiation; Senior School (Years 7 – 12): Learning to learn; K – 12 Instructional Coaching for all staff.
