Civic Engagement & Civil Discourse

Civic Engagement & Civil Discourse

Girls’ school graduates expect to vote more often and are 10% more likely than their peers from coed schools to have a political discussion with friends.

How do you ensure all student voices are heard and incorporated into classroom discussions? How do you create an environment where differences are respected and understood? How do you engage and lead students in civil discourse during political conversations?

These resources are a selection of materials to aid member schools as they help girls and young women develop and exercise their political voice. Use these materials not only to engage students in the classroom, but to inspire families to select a girls’ school, educate the community about the outcomes of girls’ schools, and inform the media that girls’ schools are more relevant today than ever before.

The Coalition continually updates its Civic Engagement & Civil Discourse resources with relevant content.
