In this session, we will discuss year two of the Simplified FAFSA, recent changes to testing policies, and the expanding role of AI in college admissions. We’ll also explore lessons learned from the first year of post-race-conscious admissions and swap practical advice and materials for collaborating effectively with Independent Educational Consultants (IECs).

Promoting Student Well-Being, Managing Expectations, and Defining Success in College Admissions
This session will focus on fostering student agency in the college search process, educating parents, faculty, and community members who sometimes unintentionally contribute to the stress, and helping students untangle their self-worth from admissions outcomes. Additionally, we will discuss the social and emotional health of girls post-election season.

Additionally, we’ll explore ways to support students on a gender identity journey and effectively track relevant data.
